Paramore and Panic! At the Disco are among the acts performing at a celebration this week for their record label, Fueled by Ramen, which is celebrating its 15th year of existence.

The two-night bash takes place this Wednesday and Thursday, September 7-8, at Terminal 5 in New York City. Other bands on the bill include Cobra Starship and Gym Class Heroes. MTV.com, which will stream Wednesday night’s show, asked Paramore what life was like before they got discovered by Fueled by Ramen.

“We were playing a lot of local shows. It was around 2004,” singer Hayley Williams replied. “The guy we were working with in Franklin [Tenn.], he was kind of our manager at the time, and he was like, ‘This guy, he has this label.’ A couple people from the label came down and watched us play older songs and newer ones … and thank God they liked it.”

Over the years, Fueled by Ramen has been the home for lots of successful emo, pop-punk and rock bands, including Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World, Less than Jake and Yellowcard. Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz created the imprint Decaydence, which signed Panic! after Wentz heard some of their personal demos.

“Pete drove out and bought us Del Taco and listened to the songs and said that he wanted to sign us as we were driving him back to his hotel,” Panic! drummer Spencer Smith said. “So it all just happened within two weeks, I think, from him listening to the songs.”
